VillageFest turns 19 Thursday night, and to celebrate, free slices of cake will be handed out "as long as it lasts."
"If you're looking for something fun to do this Thursday, March 18... Visit downtown Palm Springs for VillageFest's 19th anniversary birthday bash... Featuring live music and free slices of cake as long as it lasts," said city spokeswoman Amy Blaisdell.

As usual, about 200 booths featuring art, handcrafted items and unique food will be all along Palm Canyon.
The Boys & Girls Club of the Coachella Valley Jazz and Show Band was scheduled to perform between 6 p.m. And 9:30 p.m..
