Three assailants forced a man into a car and robbed him after he withdrew cash Tuesday from an automated teller machine at a bank in Desert Hot Springs, police reported.
The robbery-abduction was reported at 1:44 a.m. at the Chase Bank branch at 13000 Palm Drive near Hacienda Avenue, said Sgt. Dan Bressler of the Desert Hot Springs Police Department.
The victim, who was not hurt, told police he left the bank and was confronted by three occupants of a black Cadillac, which had a cloth roof, Bressler said.
At least one of the three was armed with a handgun, and the suspects forced the man into the Cadillac and drove away with him, according to Bressler.
The suspects took around $300 cash and a white T-shirt from the victim before releasing him unharmed, the sergeant said.
Anyone with information about the suspects' identities or whereabouts was asked to call police at (760) 329-6411.
