The Hemet teen accused of killing a friend then burning the body pleaded not guilty Friday to murder charges.

18-year-old Jose Campos will be tried as an adult in the murder of 16-year old Adrian Rios, although Campos was 17 at the time of the crime.

He was arraigned Friday in Murrieta.

Campos and his girlfriend fled to Mexico for several months, but were caught on Tuesday.
