Police were searching Thursday for a man they say held up a Valley furniture store.
The man held up a store clerk at knife-point at Desert Furniture Consignment in the Jefferson Plaza on Highway 111 at 5:15 p.m., according to Ben Guitron of the Indio Police Department. He got away with an undisclosed amount of cash and the clerk's watch, Guitron said.
The suspected robber is described as a Hispanic male, about 25-30 years old, 5'9" tall, and about 155 pounds. He was wearing a black shirt and tan pants at the time of the incident.
The man was last seen driving a late 1990's model dark green Toyota camry away from the scene, Guitron said.
No one was hurt in the robbery.
