Investigation Into Indio House Fire

An investigation was underway Thursday into what caused a house fire in Indio that cost three people their home.

The blaze was reported around 8:51 p.m. Wednesday at a home on 82179 Lemongrove Avenue, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

Eighteen firefighters helped fight the fire. It's unclear the amount of damage that was caused to the home.

The American Red Cross was called to help the family displaced find a place to stay.

Two adults and one child lived in the home.
