Police are searching for a gunman who robbed a Coachella jewelry and loan shop.
The robbery happened at Lean's De Oro and Loan at the Coachella Ranch Market on State Highway 86 at Avenue 50 Friday night around 8 p.m.
Police said the suspect was trying on a piece of jewelry when he showed a handgun to one of the employees and ran out of the store on foot, still holding the jewelry.
The suspect was described as a Hispanic man with a medium build, 20-30 years old, about 5 feet 5 inches, wearing a black jacket, black pants and a tan, brimmed hat.
