Three People Arrested During Indio Checkpoint
More than 300 vehicles were screened Friday night during a DUI checkpoint in Indio.
The checkpoint was located on Jackson Street and Dillon Avenue. It began at 9 p.m. and ended at 1:30 a.m.
Three drivers were arrested for DUI, and 15 were cited for driving without a license or driving on a suspended license. A total of 18 vehicles were towed.
This checkpoint is part of an on-going comprehensive effort by the Indio Police Department to reduce these types of incidents as well as traffic fatalities and injuries they cause.
