Three people--including a one-year-old baby-- were injured Thursday in a possible DUI accident near Palm Springs International Airport.
The accident happened around 9:30 a.m. on Ramon Road, at Paseo Dorotea, which temporarily led to a road closure in the area.
A one-year-old baby was on a passenger's lap in one of the cars, in which the driver appeared to be driving under the influence of alcohol, according to Sgt. Abshire of the Palm Springs Police Department. The child was expected to survive, but was taken to an area hospital to be monitored.
Another four adults were in the Saturn Ion sedan, but it was unclear how many were injured.
Two people were spotted being loaded onto stretchers and into an ambulance.
A total of two cars were involved in the accident and were blocking traffic.
Multiple police units, along with four ambulances and three fire engines all responded to the scene of the crash.
One person was in police custody Thursday for driving under the influence, and another person was in custody for felony child endangerment, according to the Palm Springs Police Department.
