A Desert Hot Springs man accused of robbing and beating his ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend in Bermuda Dunes was at large Tuesday,a sheriff's investigator said.
The robbery in an apartment in the 40000 block of Washington Street was reported about 9:30 p.m. Monday, sheriff's Investigator Anthony Baur said.
A man and a woman identified the culprit as Edgar Brito, 27, Baur said. Brito allegedly got in through a sliding glass door in the rear and attacked the man.
Brito, the woman's ex-boyfriend, is accused of taking some unspecified personal property, he said.
No one was seriously hurt, Baur said.
