Our director, Dr. R. Jeffrey Heilpern, MD, MRCP, is a gastroenterologist and director of The Hemorrhoid Institute. He is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. Dr Heilpern, who has practiced in the Coachella Valley since 1986, specializes in the treatment of patients suffering from acute and chronic GI issues, offers non-surgical and pain-free treatment of hemorrhoids, treats GERD and performs colonoscopies and upper endoscopies. Graduating first in his class with distinction from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland, Dr. Heilpern first practiced with the Foreign Office of Great Britain and remains a member of the United Kingdom's Royal College of Physicians.
