Guillermo Garcia Gonzalez, who was profiled on KPSP Local 2's Wheel of Justice on May 19th, was arrested Monday at the Victory Outreach Center in Banning, said Sgt. Daniel Bressler of the Desert Hot Springs Police Department.
Gonzalez is the prime suspect in the May 2nd attack behind the Kragen Auto Parts store at 13-310 Palm Drive, in Desert Hot Springs, Bressler said.
Gonzalez allegedly struck the victim in the face and head with a club of some sort and then took the man's wallet, which contained two dollars. The man sustained serious injuries in the attack.
Detectives recieved a tip on Gonzalez' location, Bressler said.
Gonzalez is being held at the Indio Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail.
