Windmill Burns in Cabazon
A windmill sustained an unknown amount of damage in the Cabazon area Wednesday, a CalFire/Riverside County Fire spokeswoman has confirmed.
Fire crews were using the Haughen-Lehman exit off the I-10 freeway to gain access to the burning windmill on a nearby hill, the spokeswoman said.
Unconfirmed scanner traffic indicated crews had contained the fire to just the one windmill, however.
No word on what caused the fire that broke out at about 10:15am.
