Cathedral City Police have arrested the man accused of robbing a home around 7:15 a.m. Friday in the 67-300 block of Peineta Road.

30 year-old Jose Alfredo Jimenez, Jr., was taken into custody on Saturday.

A KPSP Local 2 News crew at the scene reported the victim and Jimenez, Jr. knew each other, however it was unclear what kind of relationship the two shared.

Police say cash and other items were taken, however unconfirmed scanner traffic at the time of the incident suggested a television and Playstation video game console might have also been taken. Police say he was armed with a silver handgun.

If you have any information, call Valley Crime Stoppers at (760) 341-STOP.
