We're gearing up for the big game this Sunday, Super Bowl 44, the Saints taking on the Colts.
So what are your plans?? The Super Bowl is considered the top at home party day of the year. Shoppers at Albertsons in Palm Desert are stocking up for the big game.
It's estimated Americans will eat over 14-thousand of tons of chips and eight million pounds of avocados.
and that's not all.
It's game on, in the grocery store. Local pizza shops prepping for one of the busiest days of the year.
Super Bowl Sunday now considered the second biggest eating day of the year, behind thanksgiving!
NYPD Pizza in Palm Springs says sales tripled last big game, hundreds of pizzas were sold.
"It's going to be non stop especially during half time will be non stop," said Carlos Almeida.
NYPD plans to double staff on Sunday. They will be serving until two in the morning, fielding the phone calls from hungry fans.
And don't forget the food hangover the next day. It's estimated sales of antacid increase 20 percent the day after.
