A medical helicopter crashed between Desert Center and Blythe late Thursday night, California Highway Patrol and CalFire said.
The chopper was heading from a hospital in Blythe to Desert Regional Medical Center when something caused it to go down. CHP officials said there were four people inside the helicopter, but no one was injured.
The medical helicopter was air-lifting a patient to Desert Regional due to a lack of resources.
Officials say the chopper is destroyed and crews will head out to the crash site later Friday afternoon to remove the wreckage and investigate the scene.
Officials say there is no fuel leaking from the helicopter, so there is no threat of a fire.
