Nearly a dozen police cars surrounded a home in Desert Hot Springs Wednesday, before arresting a man who fled from police when they responded to a 'shots fired' call.
At this time it is unclear as to what exactly happened, but police confirm that they responded to the area after a report of shots fired at about 3:15pm.
The suspect then apparently tried to flee on foot from responding officers, but they caught up to him and detained him near Ironwood and Via Real, according to police units scene. The unidentified suspect was in custody by about 3:45pm.
No injuries have been reported.
