Two men who assaulted a resident at an Indian Wells home and took off with some of the victim's property were at large Friday, a sheriff's sergeant said.
The robbery was reported at 8:50 p.m. Thursday at a home in the 45800 block of Nancy Court, said Sgt. Tom Brewster of the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.
A resident told investigators that two men entered the victim's house and demanded money, Brewster said.
One of the suspects assaulted the victim and the men left the home with an undisclosed amount of money, according to Brewster.
The sergeant said the victim was taken to a hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
The suspects were described as Latino, around 5 feet 10 inches tall, of average build and wearing dark clothing.
Anyone with information about the robbery was asked to call the Indian Wells Police Department at (760) 836-1600.
