The H1N1 (swine) flu nasal vaccine is now available at some Walgreens Pharmacies in the Coachella Valley area.

One location in Cathedral City still had 180 does left as of 10:30am Monday, according to the Executive Assistant Manager, Rhett Gross. The store had received about 200 doses, Gross said. The store is located at 33975 Date Palm Drive, and can be reached by calling (760) 202-3033.

Over in Bermuda Dunes, a Walgreens there had about 90 doses left as of the same time Monday. They, too, started with about 200 doses. The store is located on the corner of Washington and 42nd and can be reached by calling (760) 772-9122.

In nearby Banning, a Walgreens also received 200 doses to distribute. As of 11am Monday, they had about 180 left, according to store manager Kristin Leskey. That Walgreens is located at 60 N Highland Springs Avenue and can be reached by calling (951) 845-5984.

All the locations are charging an $18 administration fee for the vaccine that is not covered by insurance.

The pharmacies all stressed the fact that in order to receive this nasal spray vaccine, you must be between the ages of 9 to 49. Also, you can not have any chronic illnesses, such as asthma, heart disease or lung disease.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control has detailed the restrictions of this vaccine and can be found by clicking here.
