Valley area residents looking to improve their shot at getting a new job had the chance to get some expert help Thursday in Coachella.
The Riverside County Economic Development Agency was on site at Coachella City Hall with its 'Mobile Workforce Development Center' from 10am through 3pm to offer help with things such as resume writing, appearance, and interviewing tips.
"We will help all our applicants apply for jobs in the valley by using on line services and coaching at the mobile center," said Agency Spokesman Tom Freeman. "Also we are helping with on line unemployment filing as needed."
The mobile unit came at the request of City Council member Steve Hernandez, who asked for the help of the EDA Workforce Development Center a few weeks ago, according to Freeman.
Freeman said the Agency expected a 'steady turnout' at the event that was funded by Workforce Investment Act revenue.
