Production Assistant/Master Control Operator:
Responsibilities vary widely, but qualified candidates should possess one year of recent, live newscast production experience, demonstrate outstanding communications and writing skills, and be able to work well under typical live newscast and Master Control pressure. Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends is essential.
This position may encompass most areas of both Master Control and News Production including graphics production, media control for newscasts, audio board operation, floor directing, non-linear editing, automation management, program and spot ingestion, local content insertion, satellite and feed coordination, etc.
Knowledge of current generation production switchers, character generators, still store, Photoshop, After Effects, ENPS, audio consoles, studio cameras & pedestals, and non-linear editing systems are major plusses. Recent Master Control experience including use of satellite receivers, media server ingestion and playout, live shot management, and automation is extremely helpful.
KPSP is a state-of-the-art digital television facility featuring Grass Valley Kalypso switcher, Avid Deko3000 CG and Thunder media server, GVG Profile servers, GVG NewsEdit and NewsQPro playback controller, and ENPS with extensive MOS integration, and Sundance automation.
