Every week we look at some of the property crimes Valley police departments are working. We begin in La Quinta.
It's something no one wants to think about happening to them, intruders entering your home as you sleep! It's happened twice in the past week.
First on the 44600 block of Frontera Drive. No word on what was taken when one or more thieves entered a home as the residents slept.
And just a few days later, a home on the 79100 block of Coyote Creek Rd. was entered as the owners slept. Again, we have not been told what was taken.
Over to Palm Desert now. A man in his early 20's arrested for vandalism. Seems he was misbehaving at Schmidy's Tavern near Hwy. 111 and Fred Waring. He was bounced from the water hole and apparently that upset him. He went out to the parking lot and vandalized two vehicles. Again, he was arrested.
And a strong arm robbery at the Desert City Graphics Kiosk at Palm Desert Mall. Two men struck a man in the face and made off with his backpack. The victim told police the backpack contained some cash.
To Cathedral City we go now on Crimetracker. Residential burglaries keeping officers busy. On the 13500 block of Don English Way, a thief used a broom to smash out a bathroom window, an XBOX 360 taken.
And breaking a window with a rock, that was the means of entry into a home on the 66800 block of Granada Ave. A GT bicycle and a beach cruiser bicycle taken here.
And we wrap up Crimetracker this week with a commercial burglary in Palm Springs. A suspect smashed a window of a business on the 2200 block of E. Ramon Road. When the owner opened for business the next day, he quickly realized he was short several computers.
