Every week we look at some of the property crimes Valley police departments are working. We begin this week in Indio.

Where police department spokesman Ben Guitron tells KPSP Local 2 that some secured and unsecured vehicle break-ins and vandalism are keeping officers busy. It's happening in a number of apartment complexes at Avenue 46 and Aladdin. The break-ins and vandalism are happening at night and in the early morning hours. I-pods and electronic devices are often the items taken.

Now we head over to Palm Desert on Crimetracker. Police respond to an alarm at the Coldwater Creek Clothing Company at 73199 El Paseo.
They find a 17 year old male passed out on the ground in front of the business. The investigation reveals the suspect broke a ceramic pot near the front door and threw some broken pieces of the ceramic pot at the front windows. The juvenile was arrested for felon vandalism.

And we wrap up Crimetracker this week in Palm Springs. Sgt. Melissa Desmarais tells KPSP Local 2 a suspect used unknown means to gain access to a locked residence on the 200 block of N. Farrell Dr. Once inside the suspect took a laptop computer.
