Every week we look at some of the property crimes Valley police departments are working. We begin this week in Palm Desert.
Two people suspected of breaking into a home on the 100 block of Azzuro. They made entry by jamming open a rear door. A Television and two handguns were taken. One person has been arrested and the Television returned.
The other suspect remains on the loose, with , apparently , the stolen handguns.
And the person who committed commercial burglary at the Ross store, 72250 Highway 111 must be planning a trip. He stole a large suitcase and a wallet. Oh wait, the only trip this guy is taking is to jail. He's been arrested.
Police in Cathedral City working several vehicle burglaries this past week. A window smashed on a vehicle on the 32500 block of Candlewood. A car stereo taken.
And on the 68000 block of Hermosillo a window smashed on another vehicle. Sunglasses were taken.
A sad case of animal cruelty being worked by Palm Springs police. Someone left a plastic bag containing four kittens near Vista Del Monte School on the 2700 block of N. Via Miraleste. Two of the kittens had died before the reporting party found the bag
And we wrap up Crimetracker this week in Desert Hot Springs. An office window left open on the 68200 block Calle Azteca. Among the items lost, an HP printer and laptop, electric guitars, and several thousand dollars.
And police warn homeowners to secure your doggie doors when you leave home. On the 66400 block of Estrella , a thief got down on all fours and entered a home through a doggie door. A keyboard was taken.
