Patrick Evans joined KPSP as one of 72 original employees, and has been a reporter, anchor, and now Chief Meteorologist for the station since its debut in September of 2002.
Patrick came to California after a decade of work for WDBJ Television in Roanoke, VA. Hired in 2000 as the Chief Meteorologist for the Orange County News channel in Santa Ana, Patrick spent two years in "the O.C." living in Laguna Beach. His television career now spans more than 20 years, as he started working in TV at the tender age of 17. Patrick hails from Charlottesville, VA, home to the University of Virginia (his alma mater); his family still lives there.
While at work, Patrick delivers the forecast at 5, 6 and 11pm. Patrick can be seen at various community events serving as Emcee, and on very rare occasions you might even catch him on the sports desk! Patrick has covered stories all over the country, and has gone as far as Peru on assignment.
When not at work, Patrick is often spotted crooning Sinatra tunes with local musicians around the Valley. He lives in Rancho Mirage, and enjoys the Valley's many golf courses as often as he can... Always checking out the weather, of course.
