Kris Long has been anchoring the 5, 6 and 11 o'clock news broadcasts on KPSP Local 2 News since April of 2005. With more than thirty years of broadcasting experience, Kris worked in markets including Chicago, Philadelphia and Phoenix before arriving in Palm Springs. Kris has covered many national stories during his career, including Pope John Paul 11's first visit to the United States and the first liftoff of the Space Shuttle program. He won three Emmy's for reporting in the Chicago market. Kris and his wife Sally call Palm Desert home. They are the proud parents of Hillary, currently a student at Arizona State University. Kris is an avid golfer and runner. He has accomplished one of his golfing goals, breaking 70! He is still in search of that first hole-in-one! Kris is also involved with United Cerebral Palsy of the Inland Empire and serves as a member and is on the Board of Directors.
