Along with lots of wet weather, Monday's storm brought along some road closures and traffic advisories in and near the Coachella Valley.
Highway 62 was closed at the Yucca grade due to snow, according to the California Highway Patrol. That's between Morongo Valley and the City of Yucca Valley.
A couple of inches of snow had already fallen in the Yucca Valley area by 5pm. That road was back open by 11pm Monday night.
On
Interstate 10 in Indio, a jackknifed big rig shut down the eastbound lanes and freeway onramp at Jefferson for several hours, according to the CHP.
The accident was reported at 3:55pm. An unknown amount of diesel fuel was spilled onto the roadway as well, CHP said. The road was closed for several hours while crews cleared off the truck and fuel.
That city received record rainfall of 0.4 inches of rain on Monday.

Palm SpringsThe city's public works department said no road closures were in effect as of 4:20 p.m. Monday, however signs were placed at various intersections and roadways throughout the city warning of flooded roadways
Cathedral CityThe Cathedral City Public Works Department announced a slowing of traffic and areas of caution throughout the city due to excessive water. Public Works crews were placing barricades on the following streets:
· Cathedral Canyon Dr. at the Whitewater Wash. was closed through most of the night
· Date Palm Dr. – southbound Date Palm Dr. at Los Gatos Road was limited to one lane of traffic.
· Vista Chino Rd, westbound from Date Palm Dr. to the Whitewater wash, #2 lane
· Landau Blvd. - # 2 lanes in both northbound and southbound directions, exercise caution due to excessive and accumulating water.
· Ramon Rd., west bound - #3 lane was closed due to excessive water ; eastbound, #3 lane and center median
· Gerald Ford, west bound #2 lane; Traffic limited to #1 lane only.
· Vista Chino - West and east bound #3 lanes restricted due to excessive and accumulating water.
All streets listed above were experiencing excessive water Monday, so the city was encouraging Coachella Valley residents to allow for extra travel time.
