The Saints may have won, but the real talk around town is the Super Bowl commercials.

"I just love the commercials," said Beverly Stinson.

Beverly Stinson says the commercials are her favorite part of the Super Bowl.

"Everybody has to be quite during the commercials, no hollering, not hooting," added Stinson.

Sunday night's Super Bowl ads took up nearly 48 percent of the game-- the most for any Super Bowl.  Research firm Kantar Media says the amount of ads that aired on CBS was nearly 3 minutes longer than last year's total, the previous record holder.

Commercials typically come in 30-second blocks, which sold this year for between $2.5 million and more than $3 million.

So what were some of people's favorite commercials?

"My favorite was the Betty White commercial," one KPSP viewer told us.

"It would have to be the football commercial with all the old people playing football with the little old lady running the football that was hilarious," another said.

"We really liked the talking babies," said someone else.

"The one with Jay Leno and Oprah is my favorite."

Now despite the bad economy advertisers spent around 2 in a half million dollars for a 30 second ad. So whether people watch the game for the commercials or not one thing is for sure super bowl commercials prove to be a marketing bonanza.
